Billable Expenses
The following expenses are normally billable: all expenses as mutually agreed between photographer and client, verbally or in writing, as necessary and/or specifically associated with an assignment, consistent with existing norms. In the profession, such expenses are usually the responsibility of the client and are invariably billable including, but not limited to, the following:
All Film and Processing
including black-
All Location and Transportation Expenses
including: room, food (lunches included), scouting, air and ground transportation, location fees (including outside studios), location search, gratuities, overweight luggage.
Props
(defined to include all inanimate objects mutually agreed to be necessary for the photograph including furnishings, wardrobe, surfaces, sets, etc.)
Assistants, Stylists, Casting, etc.:
All personnel specifically required beyond first assistant. (And in certain circumstances, pursuant to specific authorization, the first assistant.)
Equipment Especially Rented
and acknowledged to be necessary.
Insurance
for liabilities or requirements specifically required for a particular job.
Overtime
As billed to photographer and acknowledged to be consistent with the nature of the photograph.
Messengers
Postage, couriers, etc.
Miscellaneous
Trucking, toll, telephone.
Talent
All talent (including animals), and when booked through a professional talent agency always billable directly to the client rather than photographer.
